Your Privacy Matters

JackDiary is built with privacy as a core principle. All your pet's health data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of your personal information or pet data.

This Privacy Policy explains how Play Around Code LTD ("we", "us", "our") handles information in relation to the JackDiary mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

JackDiary is designed with a privacy-first approach. We want to be crystal clear about what we DON'T do:

Usage Analytics	We do not track how you use the app or collect analytics data
Advertising Data	No advertising IDs or marketing data collection

2. How the App Works

2.1 Local Data Storage

JackDiary stores all your data locally on your iOS device using Apple's CoreData framework. This means:

Device-Only Storage: All pet information, health records, photos, and notes remain on your device
No Cloud Sync: We do not sync your data to any cloud servers or remote databases
No Account Required: The app works without user registration or login
Complete Ownership: You have full control over your data at all times

2.2 Data Backup

Your JackDiary data is included in your standard iOS device backups:

iCloud Backup: If enabled, your app data is backed up to your personal iCloud account managed by Apple
iTunes/Finder Backup: Local backups to your computer include app data
Our Access: We have no access to your iCloud account or backups

3. Permissions Required

The App requests the following iOS permissions. Here's why we need them and how they're used:

3.1 Photo Library Access

Why: To allow you to attach existing photos from your library to health records.

What we access: Only the specific photos you choose to attach.

What we do with it: Selected photos are copied and stored locally within the app's database on your device.

Transmitted: Never. Photos stay on your device.

3.2 Camera Access

Why: To let you take new photos directly within the app for health records.

What we access: Your device camera when you choose to take a photo.

What we do with it: Photos taken are stored locally within the app's database on your device.

Transmitted: Never. Photos stay on your device.

3.3 Notifications

Why: To send you reminders for vaccine renewals, medication schedules, and pet birthdays.

What we access: iOS local notification system.

What we do with it: Schedule local notifications based on dates you set in the app.

Transmitted: Never. All notifications are local to your device; no data is sent to external servers.

4. Data Processing

4.1 PDF Generation

When you generate a PDF report:

The PDF is created entirely on your device using your local data
No data is sent to external servers for processing
The PDF is temporarily stored in your device's memory for viewing/sharing
When you share the PDF, it's sent directly from your device using iOS native sharing

4.2 No Third-Party Services

JackDiary does not integrate with or transmit data to:

Analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase)
Crash reporting services
Advertising networks
Social media platforms
Cloud storage providers (except your own iCloud backups managed by Apple)
Any other third-party services

5. Data Security

While we don't have access to your data, we've designed the app with security in mind:

Encrypted Storage: iOS automatically encrypts app data when your device is locked (if you have a passcode enabled)
Sandboxed Storage: App data is stored in an iOS sandbox, isolated from other apps
No Network Communication: The app doesn't communicate with external servers, reducing attack vectors
Device Security: Your data security depends on your device security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)

Your Responsibility: We recommend enabling a strong passcode and device encryption on your iOS device to protect your pet's health data.

6. Data Sharing

Since we don't collect your data, we have nothing to share. However, YOU can share data:

PDF Export: You can generate and share PDF reports with anyone you choose (veterinarians, pet sitters, etc.)
iOS Sharing: Any sharing happens directly from your device using iOS native features
Your Control: You decide who receives the information and when

7. Children's Privacy

JackDiary is designed for pet owners of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information from anyone, including children, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.

8. International Users

JackDiary can be used worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we don't operate servers or collect data, there are no international data transfers or GDPR concerns related to our processing of your data.

However, if you use iCloud Backup, your data may be transferred according to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

9. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

10. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. To permanently delete all data:

Delete the JackDiary app from your iOS device
If you use iCloud backups, delete the app's data from iCloud settings
Delete any exported PDF files you may have saved or shared

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will:

Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
Notify users through the App Store update notes
Post the updated policy on our website

Your continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

12. Legal Compliance

12.1 GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

Although we don't collect personal data, we respect GDPR principles:

Data Controller: You are the controller of your own data
Legal Basis: Not applicable as we don't process personal data
Data Protection Officer: Not required as we don't collect data

12.2 CCPA Compliance (California Users)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

We do not sell personal information
We do not share personal information with third parties
We do not collect personal information
